Privacy Policy
Last updated: 16 August 2026
Renoview Pty Ltd ("Renoview", "we", "us", or "our") operates www.renoview.com.au. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and manage personal information when you use Renoview.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information needed to operate Renoview and provide homeowner, provider, community, support, and account features.
Account Information
- name, email address, phone number, role, account status, and plan information
- login and authentication identifiers managed through Supabase Auth
- marketing preference and account activity information
Google and Facebook Sign-In
If you choose to sign in with Google or Facebook, Renoview uses Supabase Auth to complete the sign-in flow. Renoview currently uses the verified email address, provider identity needed for authentication, and name details returned by the provider to create or match your Renoview account.
If Google or Facebook provides a profile photo, Renoview asks for your consent before using that image as your Renoview profile photo. If you agree, Renoview copies the image into Renoview-managed avatar storage so it can be displayed reliably. If you decline, Renoview records that choice so the same provider prompt is not repeatedly shown. You can remove a Renoview profile photo from your account profile.
Project and Community Content
- renovation project details, property details, room types, budgets, descriptions, and stage information
- photos, videos, comments, poll votes, follows, share updates, and other community interactions
- provider enquiries, provider links, company profile details, and provider logos where you provide them
Billing, Support, and Usage Information
- subscription status, plan codes, and billing identifiers used for paid features
- feedback, bug reports, screenshots, and support information you submit
- analytics and event data such as pages visited, features used, device/browser information, and errors
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- create, authenticate, and manage Renoview accounts
- operate projects, media uploads, community features, provider workflows, notifications, and support
- display public projects and public community activity where you choose or configure public visibility
- process subscription and billing actions
- send transactional emails and service communications
- measure product usage, diagnose issues, improve performance, and maintain platform safety
3. Public Visibility and Sharing
Some Renoview features are designed for public sharing. Public projects, public project media, provider information, comments, and community activity may be visible to other users or visitors when the relevant project or content is public.
Private, unlisted, and token-access projects have different visibility controls. The exact visibility of a project depends on the settings and sharing links used for that project.
Images from eligible public After stages may be reused within Renoview, including in Ideas, and may be indexed by external search engines. Setting a project to Unlisted or Private removes its future eligibility for public Ideas and related SEO output; external search results may remain temporarily until recrawled.
Renoview profile photos are intended to support the public community experience and may appear beside public projects and community activity. Provider company logos remain separate from an individual user's Renoview profile photo.
4. Service Providers
We use third-party services to operate Renoview. These include:
- Supabase for authentication, database, and storage infrastructure
- Vercel for website hosting and application deployment
- PostHog for product analytics and event tracking where enabled
- Resend for transactional email delivery where email sending is enabled
- Stripe for subscriptions, checkout, billing portal, and payment-related records
- Vimeo for video upload, hosting, processing, and playback where project videos are used
These providers may process personal information only as needed to provide their services to Renoview. Some providers may process or store information outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to use reputable providers and protect personal information handled through those services.
5. Payments
Paid features are processed through Stripe. Renoview uses subscription, plan, checkout, portal, and webhook information needed to manage access. Renoview does not store full card numbers in the application database.
6. Media Storage and Processing
Renoview allows users to upload photos, videos, and other project media. We may process, compress, resize, optimise, moderate, or generate public renditions of media for performance, display, sharing, safety, and storage purposes.
Renoview is not a dedicated backup service. You should keep your own copies of content you upload.
7. Cookies and Analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep users signed in, protect sessions, understand product usage, and improve Renoview. You can manage browser cookies through your browser settings, but some account features may not work without required authentication cookies.
8. Account and Data Deletion
Renoview provides a self-service account deletion flow for homeowner, consumer, and provider accounts from the authenticated profile page. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Account settings also show connected Google and Facebook identities returned by Supabase Auth. A social identity can be disconnected only when another usable sign-in method remains, to reduce the risk of account lockout. If your Renoview profile photo came from a disconnected sign-in provider, Renoview removes that stored profile photo. Disconnecting Google or Facebook from Renoview does not delete the underlying Google or Facebook account.
For current instructions, including what the deletion process removes, see Account and Data Deletion.

9. Access and Correction
You can view and update profile information from your Renoview account. If you need assistance accessing or correcting personal information, contact admin@renoview.com.au.
10. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. No internet service is completely secure, so you should use strong credentials and keep your own copies of important project content.
11. Complaints and Contact
Questions, privacy requests, deletion requests, or complaints can be sent to admin@renoview.com.au. We review privacy and deletion requests and will respond as soon as reasonably practicable.
12. Terms and Changes
Renoview's Terms of Service explain the rules for using the service.
We may update this Privacy Policy as Renoview changes. Updated versions will be published on this page.
